Women leaders from Bushenyi briefed the Speaker on a proposed mindset-change training programme for women benefiting from the Parish Development Model.
The Speaker met the Bushenyi District Women Council Executive, led by the Bushenyi District Woman MP, Hon. Annet Katusiime Mugisha, who briefed him on a proposed Mindset Change Training Programme for women benefiting from the Parish Development Model (PDM).
The leaders said the initiative would equip women with the confidence, financial discipline and business skills needed to turn PDM funds into sustainable enterprises, and called for a dedicated training fund supported by government. The Speaker commended the initiative, noting that access to programmes such as PDM must be matched by proper planning, responsible investment and accountability.
